Student Wellbeing

At Goollelal Primary School we place student health and wellbeing at the heart of our educational programs.

We believe that student wellbeing, including good social, emotional and mental health, is fundamental to student success and learning.

We actively support student wellbeing through a combination of approaches, including our Student Engagement Policy, Protective Behaviours lessons, Resilience Doughnut Model, In School Chaplaincy Service and parent information related to wellbeing and mental health.

We believe in engaging students positively in order to establish a safe, enjoyable and secure learning environment. Our Student Engagement Policy integrates a range of strategies to maximise student engagement and to maintain a high standard of behaviour. We adopt a proactive approach where expected behaviours are explicitly taught, allowing students to make better choices.
