Our staff are dedicated professionals who use evidence-based teaching strategies to meet the needs of our learners. We place a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, knowing these skills are essential for future learning. Just as importantly, we prioritise students’ wellbeing, because we know that children learn best when they feel safe, supported and valued.

In the early years, we nurture our student’s learning learn through a balance of purposeful play and explicit teaching. As students’ progress through their schooling years, our experienced teachers apply high-impact strategies to ensure consistent academic progress.

We place a high value on relationships — especially with parents, who are a child’s first and most influential teachers. We welcome your feedback and are always looking at how we can improve our practice. You’ll hear from us regularly about your child’s progress through both formal and informal channels.

Goollelal Primary is an active part of a strong local community. As an Independent Public School, we are guided by a School Board made up of parents, staff and community members. We also encourage families to get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association and the many school events we hold throughout the year.
